What is APuzzleADay all about?

We are a community of puzzle enthusiasts across the world. The uniqueness of our service lies with the daily puzzle our subscribers receive via email. The intent being to keep everyone thinking over a variety of brainteasers, anagrams, trivia, paradoxes, illusions and more.

When is a new puzzle published?

A new puzzle is available on the site everyday at 7am GMT here. The subscribers also receive an email containing the puzzle and a link to solution at this time.

How can I change my email address?

You can use the address change form to update/change your email address.

I did not receive today's puzzle or somehow I lost it. Could you please resend it to me?

It's not possible for us to send out repeats of puzzle postings to individual subscribers. You can see any missing puzzles in the archives.

How do I search for a puzzle?

You can use the search facility to look for a puzzle.

How does the ratings system work?

The ratings serve as a guide to the toughness of the puzzles. The puzzles are rated by our users on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the easiest and 10 the toughest. The votes are assimilated at the end of every day so that the vote made today are accounted tomorrow.

What is the 'Random Puzzles' feature?

This feature is aimed at increasing the accessibility of the puzzles on the site. The widget randomly displays puzzles from the pool on  the site. The links in the 'Random Puzzles' widget take the user to the page for that puzzle

What is the 'Recently Commented' feature?

This lists the five most recent puzzles on which a user has commented. This helps people to find the comments posted by fellow users and respond to the same..

How can I use the discussion boards?

You can use the discussion boards provided on the solutions page for expressing your comments on the puzzle, its solution or responding to the comments posted by other users. While there are no set rules for doing the same, a minimal level of sense and decency while doing the same is advisable.

What are puzzlers?

Puzzlers are the puzzling characters of APuzzleADay around whom the problems on the site are based. You can view there profiles here.

How do I contribute?

We welcome your generous contributions.
If you have an interesting puzzle that you wish to share on APuzzleADay, use the contribute page to send it across. We will review the same and if approved it will be published on APuzzleADay. You will be informed in advance about the day your puzzle will be featured on the site. We will publish the puzzle with your name in both emails and on the web.
You can also contribute as a developer or as a PR person. Help us spread the passion for puzzles. If you wish to do the same use the contact us page or shoot an email to info@apuzzleaday.org
